I’m back.

I guess I got really busy at work and then I quit that job (mentally taxing!), and now I have a month of funemployment until my next job.

Since my last post, I’ve listened to plenty of willie colón, hector lavoe, bad bunny, nathy peluso, and karol g. I’ve also been listening to khruangbin, jungle, and yin yin. I’ve gotten into reggae too.

I need to keep busy even during funemployment, because if I’m alone with my thoughts, this will quickly become a sad girl summer =). So, I’ve set myself a goal of making a few presentations per week (with the help of Notebook LM) (not sponsored!) covering the origins of the music genres that are taking up most of my headspace lately. I’ll be posting those presentations here, along with my personal thoughts and anecdotes about the genre and/or its history. Once I’m back to work, I plan on returning to my regularly scheduled posting about interesting latin songs/music/artists.
